Default +5 energy Recurves

Okay, so I've been making an entire set of Recurve bows (composite skin, the best ) for everything I could ever need, and right now I'm making a +5/+30 one. I have two questions.

1. Why the +5? Is it just because, as an interrupter bow, you're not doing much damage anyway, so the 15^50 or whatever is pointless, so you use the energy?

2. What string should I put on it?

I mostly use [apply poison] if that helps, but sometimes [read the wind] for kicks.

Thanks in advance!

1) Generally, good rangers will use their 15^50 untill their energy runs low - there's no point having 5 more energy unless you need it. 15^50 might not be adding much, but unless you're bottoming out your energy its doing more than +5e.

2) Crippling's my top pick - cripshot bars are more likely to need an extra 5e to work with.
If you're cheap/lazy, Poisonous is next best.

+5 energy helps when running things with high energy cost and/or fast recharge. So [Crippling Shot] will use more energy if changing targets a lot, and you may need that extra 5 energy for the next cripple. Same with [concussion shot], as you can use it a lot if you were able to. In general, you want this on a weapon swap bow, not a main use bow. And I'd recommend a Silencing string in addition to the Poisonous and Crippling depending on the build you are using.

Cool, question answered. I've got Crippling, Barbed, Poisonous, and Vampiric, all 15^50, so I guess I'll just stick a crippling on the +5 energy one. Thanks a lot guys!
